Working Freelance From Home

Freelancing is one of the fastest, most affordable, and easiest ways to get started working from home, especially if you offer services in a skill you already good at. In some ways, freelance sits in between entrepreneurship and employment.

In freelancing you’re self-employed, but the work is contracted by a business and can be steady and regular like in a job. One of the big benefits of freelancing is that you can usually charge more per hour in your freelance business than employers pay for the same work.

Some Tips On How to Make Your Forum Marketing Work for You

Forum marketing is a great way for you, the site owner to promote your website, product, or idea concept. This is an effective way to establish long-term relationships with the members and achieve a vastly profitable site.

Forum sites are all about opinions, idea generation and increasing awareness of your business website. Forum marketing enables you to gain and maintain a targeted group of people in a specific market niche of your endeavours that will help you market your product.

1. Visits

This is the most important step in building and strengthening your reputation. It requires you to make frequent visits to the forums that you have chosen and become an active respondent and poster. You need to enthusiastically take part in active forum discussions and be able to provide your own opinion about topics that may be discussed in the forum. Also , you need to respond to the other members’ questions wanting nothing in return. These while you are visiting, the site will help you grow your influence as an expert on the subject that you are trying to promote.

There are some tips that you need to learn in order to have a successful forum marketing campaign for you. These tips are extremely helpful in teaching you the proper way to promote your product in the best way.

2. Hiring Services

You can also consider, although it is not recommended, hiring a team of qualified writers. These writers can do the posting in the forums for you in a well-written manner. Outsourcing your posts should be done with extreme caution though because it can disqualify you as an expert, therefore, you will lose valuable sales. Most internet marketers recommend that you skip this step and do all the posting that is required in person. This will allow you to keep your status as an expert, and therefore you will receive more visitors to your site.

3. Signature

After you have posted at least 50 times in your post, create a signature line. This signature line will contain the link to your business. This signature link can become a permanent link that you can use for all your posts. This will allow the other members of the forum to click on your signature and visit your site. Usually, when they click on your signature line, they sign up on your site and also sometimes will purchase the item you are trying to sell. Signature lines are an incredibly important part of forum marketing.

I consider forums the greatest way to gain traffic to your site without spending little or no money on advertising. To be successful, you need to follow these steps. Once you do this, you will rake in the visitors as well as the income in no time.

I have compiled a small list of free forums that you can use to promote your online business; Subsequently, generating free traffic.

You can add tourist attractions famous to the area along with the climate and travel information just to name a few. It’s even more creative if you have the first-hand experience as a traveler to those specific destinations that you are writing about. In this case it would give a more vivid description of your adventure and unique experience.

Consulting blogs: Usually, consulting blogs are run by one person offering their opinion, and advice on a certain topic. This is a great way to develop an online community in a topic that interests you and others who require your expertise.

No matter what business you wish to create or may already belong to, blogging is a great way to advertise and showcase your skills and natural ability to effectively deliver in your particular field or market niche.

Boosting Business With Autoresponders

These days, most everyone is familiar with an autoresponder, although many don’t know why they are beneficial to businesses. If you aren’t familiar with autoresponders, you would probably find yourself amazed with them. An autoresponder can help your business by automatically emailing your clients and customers with a preset message that will help to increase your sales.

An autoresponder can help your list of clients grow, even send each one of them their own personalized email message. If you choose, you can also follow up on every individual email with repeated emails, varying the content whenever you wish. These programs will also allow you to keep track of conversations, and send out broadcast email messages whenever you have news or new products to offer your clients.

As research in the past has shown, personalized email from autoresponders is a great way to boost your business. When you send a personalized email to one of your clients, the autoresponder can address him or her by their name – which always makes a customer take notice. While you could do this yourself using traditional email, it could take you a few hours if you have a long list of customers.

Autoresponders make sending a personalized email a snap. All you need to do is set up your email template, then select where you like the name to go. You can add everyone in your customer list to the autoresponder, which makes sending emails a snap. Once you have everything ready to go, all you need to do is send out the emails with one simple click. Best of all – you don’t have to set it up again when you need to send out broadcast messages.

Although some people will buy products after one or two emails, most people require about seven or eight emails before they will purchase anything. Autoresponders can really help you, as they will do all of the emailing for you. You don’t have to keep sending manual emails or anything like that. All you need to do is set up the email address, type in your preset message, and then feel free to send it as many times as you like.

Through the use of an autoresponder, you can boost your business. If you run an Internet marketing business, this tool will prove to be invaluable. You can spend less time sending messages – and more time doing what you enjoy. If you’ve never tried an autoresponder before, you owe it yourself to check out everything they will do for you and your business. Online businesses can get a lot of emails daily – which is where the autoresponder will really start to shine and show you just how great of an asset it is.

All About AutoResponders

Throughout the Internet, autoresponders make for an excellent promotional tool. Although the technical name is an autoresponder, other known names include auto email, mailbot, and email responder. An autoresponder is a great way to save time, as it responds to any message with an automatic response.

Autoresponders can vary from messages that go through email to scripts that are programmed to run on servers. All types of autoresponders work the same, as they will automatically send a message out when a message is received. Depending on the message they receive, they will send out the correct return message. This can be determined by the script or the email address.

Although they are great for promotional reasons, they are also widely abused all across the Internet. Autoresponders are great to use for your daily tasks, as they will basically do all of the work for you. On the other hand, they can also be quite disastrous on those who happen to come in contact with them.

When you submit your website to search engines, directories, or classifieds, you should never attempt to use an autoresponder address. Most of these website types use autoresponders themselves when they send out their messages. If their autoresponder happens to send a message out to your autoresponder, they will continue responding – which can be very annoying.

When you decide to subscribe to an email or ezine you should always use your valid email address and never use the address for your autoresponder. If you use your autoresponder to subscribe, chances are you’ll have your subscription revoked. It can be very annoying if a group sends out emails, only to find that your autoresponder keeps sending return messages. For that very reason, you should never use your autoresponder address to subscribe to anything.

Autoresponders can be great to use, although they can also be a hazard as well. Often times, with subscription groups or ezines, it can be very hard to locate someone who is using an autoresponder. In most cases, those who use an autoresponder don’t have the same reply or from address as they did when they signed up. In cases such as this, it can take quite a lot of time and effort to locate the address.

If you take care of your autoresponder and don’t use it to annoy others or sign up for email subscriptions, it should treat you well. An autoresponder can do a world of good for your business, saving you a lot of time and effort. Autoresponders are easy to set up and easy to use, which is great news for anyone who isn’t technical with the Internet. For the price they cost and how easy they are to operate – autoresponders can make your Internet business easier than ever before.

Search Engine Optimization and Advertising

In today’s net-savvy world it has become common for any business to have a website which they use mostly for advertising their products and services. With the advent of search engines, it has become even easier for the customers to search for the stuff online. For a website to be successful its link should land in the first three pages which the search engine brings and the rank of the page should be high which means many visitors come to the site. This can be achieved by applying search engine optimization or popularly known as SEO. This is a marketing strategy that increases the quality and quantity of traffic flow to a particular website via search engines.

SEO not only affects the search engine results but also image search, video search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. It determines how a search algorithm functions and searches what is popular with people. When a website link is submitted to a search engine, a spider crawls through a page to gather links that lead to other pages and stores those pages on the server of the search engine. The information collected from these pages is sent to the indexer, whose job is to extract information from those pages such as the keywords and their weights, the location of the page and other links that are stored for the spider to crawl in the future.

In the beginning, the search engine optimizer algorithms were dependant on the keywords, Meta tags, and index files provided by the Webmaster. Meta tags provided information about a particular page, but using them for indexing the pages didn’t prove to be successful as some Webmasters added irrelevant Meta tags to increase the number of hits and earn huge ad revenue. They even changed the HTML of the web pages to achieve a good rank for the page. But this was a case of abuse as it fetched irrelevant pages.

Search engines then began utilizing complex ranking algorithms, which were difficult for the webmasters to manipulate so as to provide web surfers with genuine results. The rank of the web page was calculated mathematically by functions using the strength and quantity of the inbound links. The higher the rank of the page the more chances it had to be viewed by a person. Later algorithms were developed which considered various other on-page factors such as rank and off-page factors such as hyperlink. Since the webmasters couldn’t manipulate the page rank, they began exchanging, selling and buying links, which lead to link spamming and even creation of numerous sites dedicated to this purpose.

Algorithms became more complex by every passing day and top search engines kept their algorithms a secret. As the cost of SEO increased, advertisers were roped in to pay for it, which finally resulted in high-quality web pages. Although investing in SEO is very fruitful, but at the same time is risky because without any prior notice the algorithms being used are bound to change and the search engine will stop directing visitors to the page.

Many consultants are available in the market that provides SEO services. They manipulate the HTML source code of the web site like menus, shopping carts and sometimes even the content of the website to draw more traffic. Search engines like Yahoo have algorithms that extract pages not according to the page rank but according to the cost per click or set fee, that is if an advertiser desires that the page containing his ad be displayed, he is expected to pay money for it. This is a point of controversy, as only the big businesses will be able to increase the number of hits of their page but not the small business who might be having a better quality page.

Google Ad Words explores ads that have words typed in the search box by the surfer. The Million Dollar Homepage started the concept of Pixel advertising, which is a graphical kind of advertising. Depending on the pixels, the space is sold to the advertiser. Keyword advertising involves advertisers who buy URLs of a site and place their ads at that location. Thus SEO is a market on its own which is yielding great results for businesses on the Internet.

Low Budget Advertising

After the advent of online selling sites, shopping has been made so easy that it can be done within the comfort of the home. Online selling gave rise to online advertising also known as iAdvertising, which is proving to be the best way to reach a larger audience within a short time using less money.

There are many options available on the Internet to get started. Creating a website and then placing its link on different websites is one of the ways. Pages can be submitted to the search engines after applying search engine optimization techniques. Websites offer various payment methods. Some take money for simply placing an ad or link on their website, some take money only if a visitors clicks on the link or website and some take money only if the visitors visits a link and have bought something or availed some service. There are options available for the type of ad being placed. There are pop-up ads, banner ads, wallpaper ads, polite ads, video ads, etc. Businesses with really low budget can send mails to targeted customers.

Radio stations offer a good price to advertise during the non-peak time. Get in touch with the local station and try to ask for a discount. The same applies to television; even they have a minimal amount for advertising slots during the non-prime hours, especially after midnight. Contact different television station to compare pricing.

The age-old tradition of advertising in yellow pages directories is always a success. All businesses from small to big register themselves in the yellow pages and have sworn to be benefited from it. People can look up for contact numbers, addresses and services offered directly from the pages.

Newspaper is the next best thing. First analyze the audience to be targeted by age group, sex, and location. Choose the local newspaper and section where the ad should be placed depending on the audiences to be targeted. The classifieds department of the local newspapers have special offers, find out in detail about the pricing structure for the size of the advertisements, number of words, font size, etc.

Design the business cards with accuracy. Try to include all the vital information about the business like the name of the company, where it is located, services provided, working hours, and contact information like landline number, cell number and person to be contacted. Personalized business cards are good way of reaching the genuine customers.

Other way to advertise is to give presentations on your products. Brochures can be inserted in the business presentation package. Other things like history of the company and annual turn-up, once again business cards can be included in the package.

Distribute newsletters with information about the latest offers and discounts. Informational letters of a page length and e-mails can be sent too on a regular basis. All this can become lot easier by getting in touch with companies who can provide the mailing list of a particular locality and it comes for a very small price. Again the yellow pages can be referred to information about such companies. After getting the information get in touch with company to get a copy of the latest mailing list. Different companies charge different prices

The word of mouth is also a good method of advertising. Try growing the links in your network and join organizations which deals with advertising like trade associations and chamber of commerce. Active participation in events of these organizations eventually helps reaching more number of people.

How Virtual Assistants Can Get More Clients Online?

Virtual Assistants (or VAs) perform many different tasks for their clients. They do everything from proofreading to helping their clients provide great customer service to web site design and web site maintenance to setting up teleclasses and sending out newsletters and many more.

Virtual Assistant gig services that can be done on FIVERR are;

Data Entry, Copy Pasting, Email Handling/Marketing, Domain Research, Web Research, PDF Conversions, Data Collection, Admin Support, translation, transcript and any additional VA tasks within the remit of that specific niche.

Since virtual assistants perform all these tasks from their own offices, a virtual assistant business is a perfect business to promote online. Here are top 5 tips for you, whether you are just starting a new virtual assistant practice or you are a seasoned VA:

  • Find A Target Market For Your Virtual Assistant Business. There are too many virtual assistants who are just starting their own businesses and take on everyone as their target market. While it might be tempting to say that everyone is your target market, finding a smaller target market will help you create a better marketing message, get clients faster, and ultimately, succeed with your business.
  • Have A Professional Web Site. Since you are offering professional virtual assistance services, it is only fitting that your web site has a professional image.
  • Prospecting; Start contacting current and or previous employers, colleagues on social media who may know someone or have a friend or family in need of help for particular ad hoc or long term projects. Utilize Social media platform including LinkedIn.
  • Direct prospecting; Finding, researching, qualifying and then contacting people you would want to work with. This is by far one of the the most successful method anyone can use to get to get their own clients.

Make sure that your web site has a professional look and feel and creates a good first impression for your potential customers.

When you publish articles, each one of your articles comes with a Resource Box. The Resource Box contains information about you and your business.

However, the most important thing that the Resource Box contains is a link back to your web site. Websites and blog owners who reprint your article include your Resource Box with a “live” link back to your web site. Thus, your articles help you generate a unidirectional (one-way) links to your website. These unidirectional links are great for driving more traffic to your website.

  • Get a Blog and Start Blogging. A business blog is an excellent tool to toot your own horn, let the world know about your virtual assistance business, as well as your services, and tell your target customers why they should do business with you, rather than your competitor.

A business blog is also a great tool for attracting potential customers to your blog and your website.

Seo Link Building Strategies

Easy Link Building Strategies: For Increasing Search Engine Ranking

To have a good ranking in the search engines you need to build lots of backlinks to your website.  Let’s take a look at some of the ways that you can build links.

1. If you have links already existing on other websites you may want to contact them and ask if they could change the link slightly.  A link with an anchor text containing relevant keywords is much better than a link that just says ‘click here’.

2. Always monitor your sites 404 statistics and keep track of any links that are old or even misspelled and going to the wrong URL.  A backlink is no good if it isn’t pointing to the right link.

3. On your website have a “link to us” link.  Include the information you would like used for your links such as anchor text and URL.  You can even offer to do a link exchange and have a contact box so website owners can leave their details.

4. Check for any errors using a spell and grammar checker.  Users will notice any errors that you have in your links, content, and pages.

5. Always keep an eye out for other sites that mention your website or even use some of your website content.  If they include a link back to your site that is fine but if they don’t then contact them and ask them to include a link to your website.

6. Post comments on other blogs that relate to your niche and put your link either in the box provided or within your comment.  Always post good comments that are relevant to the blog post.

7. Always use tags, particularly header tags, on your website that include your relevant keywords.  Anchor text and image text also increases search engine rankings.

8. Use a sitemap on your website that links all the pages to the sitemap page.  If your site is created using WordPress there are plugins that can create a sitemap for you. This makes it easier for the search engines to spider your website.

9. Link your site to other websites that have content that is relevant to your site.  Always link to the important pages within the site.

10. Link to websites that have high search engine rankings as these can help drive traffic back to your site.

11. Study your competitors and see what sites they are using to get backlinks and add your website links to the same sites.

12. If you have good feedback from your clients then add those comments to your site.  This will add trust and interest of future clients.

13. Create an ebook about your niche and offer it as a free gift for people to sign up to your newsletter or mailing list.

14. If you consider yourself an expert in your field then teach on an online seminar about your topic.  Post announcements of the seminar on your website and other sites around the internet.

15. Use Google Adwords to help build up your customer base.

Kidswatch Pro

16. Find an affiliate product that relates to your niche and add links to it to your website.

17. Choose a charity and add a ‘donate to charity’ link to your site.  Have a description of the charity and how you will donate the proceeds that you receive.

18. Submit your website URL to social media sites that have quality products and services offered on their sites.

Use of the above strategies will increase your traffic and also increase your profits.  A successful, profitable website takes work and time but if you are willing to put in that effort then your website will soon be one of the best.

Writers Work - Get Paid to Write

The purpose of an Ecommerce site is to generate business leads, and if online surfers using different browsers and operating systems cannot even view your site properly, you will lose out on a significant number of prospective clients. Think about this aspect before you actually go about designing a website.

It is said that pictures have the ability to communicate messages which sometimes even words fail to say. Pictures have a very strong ability to portray strong emotions. Silence they say is sometimes stronger than words. Put up relevant pictures on your site to put forward an idea. Take care that you do not put up any irrelevant and outdated pictures on your website.

The color combination of a website is very important. Choose the color to be used in your Ecommerce web site design only after very careful consideration. Colors in an e-commerce site must not be garish and at the same time must not be too dull, so that it does not even invoke any response from visitors to your site. Choose a color pattern which is appealing to the eye, but at the same time refrain from going over the top.

The navigability and the functionality of Ecommerce web site design are of big importance. Your site may be the best visually looking site ever made, but if it does not have proper functionality and navigability, no one is even going to give your site a second glance. No visitor is going to wait and search for information in your site if it is not properly navigable and functional.

Take care of the contents in your Ecommerce web site design. Good and relevant content is a great means of bringing visitors to your site. Check out for yourself and see if the content in your site is relevant or not. Also see if all the links are properly placed or not and whether visitors are immediately transferred to the page that has the relevant information for their query.

Utilize free traffic from niche websites.  We all want to maximise the use of traffic to our fullest potential, and since we’re talking about maximization, there are ways beyond social media marketing and SEO to drive traffic to your site. Jana Neer is the co-founder of ECommerce Brand Academy, recommends utilizing free traffic from niche websites and then utilizing the Google display network for retargeting to increase sales from those that didn’t convert as well as new products for customers. A perfect example of a niche website is Houzz. Neer says “By using just this one website (Houzz) to drive free traffic, they have multiple online furniture stores that  can be used for dropshipping that make $5,000 to $10,000 a month on autopilot,”

Make your best effort in satisfying the visitor to your site. Consider yourself as a visitor to a site and think what all things you would want to see in a site. Users are the king in determining if a website will work or not. Take care of the user and try to satisfy his or her needs in your Ecommerce web site design.

Are You Ready To Become Self-Employed?

If you are interested in starting a business or taking over one, you face a daunting task that carries a level of risk and excitement not possible in the ’employee’ world.

If the financial independence of self-employment appeals to you – no boss, no income limits as to time and wage, and the ability to let your drive determine your compensation – then you will no doubt be eagerly going over the many options available to release you from your current job.

However, the rush of financial excitement must be tempered by the necessary cost of time, money and effort in properly setting yourself up independently.

Despite income claims made by business opportunity companies, or competing businesses, you must be ready to accept the reality of not seeing personal income for several months – or even years.

Starting a self-employed business on the side, while keeping regular employment as your financial security, is a wise method of ensuring your income.

Another option is to have substantial savings that permit you the freedom to pursue your dreams unencumbered with other employment. However, the savings must also be capable of carrying the costs of developing a business along with providing for your material needs.

Do you also recognize the time that is required in starting your own business? In some ways, it is almost unnecessary to bring up the point since your passion will likely drive you to spend many hours in your pursuits. If you have other obligations; family, job, social, etc. then you will have to consider if you can devote the time needed to get your business off the ground.

Having discussed both money and time, you must recognize that there is much more effort extended BEFORE a business is profitable than at any other time in your business. Yes, once you are getting work and are satisfied with the income level you may be very busy indeed but you will then be compensated for it. When you are still cultivating your business – marketing, doing free jobs, searching for clients and customers – you may not be seeing any income, or a very meager one, which makes your EFFORTS seem immense.

Do not falter! If you come to the point when you are working your hardest and doing everything your business requires but still not seeing monetary results, you may hit a psychological wall. This is where truly entrepreneurial individuals see an obstacle to overcome as opposed to a dead-end to their hard work. Passion for their work and the strong desire to work for themselves overcomes any perceived barriers and moves them to keep going and ultimately becoming very successful.

By persevering, you will certainly see the fine fruits of your labors and prove to yourself and others that the benefits of self-employment far outweigh the mediocre status quo of the typical worker’s daily grind.

Affiliate Marketing: Newbie

Advice for the Affiliate Marketing Newbie!

Are you an affiliate marketing newbie? Whether new or experienced, there are some tips of the trade that you should follow.

First of all, the lure of working from home in your pajamas with nothing but a computer is almost too much to bear. In fact, more and more people are trying their hand at affiliate marketing exactly for this reason. But in order to be successful in your efforts, you do need to spend time and at least a little bit of money. It is hard work, so be prepared.

If you are an affiliate marketing newbie, start out promoting something that you are familiar with and, even better, something that interests you. As you get more experienced, this aspect will not be quite so important — you will be able to promote things that you know nothing about or care nothing about and still be successful – but in the beginning, it helps to start with something that you will be committed to as you go through your learning curve. Keep in mind that taking this route may not end up as the best converting method or gain you the highest commissions, but it will be easier for you to build a website and to stick with what you are working on

When you do get your site up and running (and, by the way, a WordPress blog is a very fast and way to establish a reputable website), promote more than just one product in the same niche. This also gives your visitors a choice and allows you to track which products are selling more or less.

Always remember the tried and true saying: content is king. “Contents sites” are the ones that offer educational, instructional and topical content about whatever it is they are promoting. And the best of these types of sites actually make the promoted product or service seem like an afterthought. This is another reason that it is easier if you are new to affiliate marketing to start with something you are familiar with and/or interested in. While content is important, your main goal is to drive visitors to the sales of your affiliate products, so make it as easy as possible for them to get there.

Do not give up. There is a lot to learn when it comes to affiliate marketing and it takes a lot of work in the beginning. It’s also important to keep up with rules and regulations that change in the field of affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing revenue can end up being passive (meaning you don’t have to do anything to earn it), but it takes a while to get to this point. Most people will take months even to make enough money to cover costs. Keeping these tips in mind when you are an affiliate marketing newbie will help you in achieving a profitable status.

I have put together below a list of a few affiliate programs that you can join as a newbie

CLICKBANKJVZOO
MAXBOUNTYWARRIOR +PLUS
DIGISTORE24RAKUTEN
ALI EXPRESSGEARBEST
SHAREASALECJ AFFILIATE

The reason why I made reference to the above general affiliate programs it’s because they have a variety of products to promote from any specific niche- from weight loss to digital, e-commerce. There are many other affiliate companies out there, I will update you later at some point.

CPA Affiliate Programs- What Are CPA Programs?

Internet marketing is one of those things that a lot of businesses are starting to gravitate towards. That makes a lot of sense when you consider how many people are going online to get information about the things that they want to buy. In fact, it’s safe to say that if you have a business and you do not have a presence online, then you are leaving money on the table. Even if you don’t have a business there are plenty of opportunities for you to make money online. One way of doing this is through what’s known as CPA affiliate programs.

See, because so many businesses are trying to grab market share of the Internet marketplace, they are willing to pay other people to send business their way. CPA stands for “cost per action”. Simply put, every time somebody visits your website and performs the action required by the CPA company, you will get paid.

What the specific action is can vary from company to company. Some CPA affiliate programs will require the visitors of your site to enter their zip code, others may require them to enter their name and e-mail address, while others may require them to try a free sample or introductory offer at a low cost.

The fact that there isn’t a big barrier for them to overcome, most people are happy to take advantage of such offers. They see they are getting something in return for doing something as simple as entering their zip code, and it’s hard to resist an offer like that. The best part is that all you need to do is get them to your site and then you get paid once they perform the action.

When you join CPA affiliate programs you will be given a link that has a special code embedded in it. It’s this code that allows the CPA company to determine exactly who sent them the lead. Of course, it’s very important that you get credited for every action that’s completed on your website.

While it’s true that you can make a lot of money through CPA affiliate programs, there is a catch. Almost every CPA network requires you to fill out an application and go through an approval process. This isn’t very complicated; however, not everybody gets accepted. Some people will tell you to lie so you can be accepted by a CPA network, but this is a bad idea. Think of it this way, if they do accept you and you start making a lot of money through them, and then they later find out that you lied to them, you could suddenly find that you have lost an excellent source of income. Your best bet is to simply tell the truth, and keep applying for networks until one accepts you.

One of the great things about CPA affiliate programs is that you don’t have to take time to develop a product. All you do is promote a product that already exists and get paid for it every time somebody does what the CPA company wants them to do. There are a lot of people that make a very good income doing nothing but CPA.

Alternatives To Bankruptcy

When you’re in a financial bind, bankruptcy is not the only way out. There are many alternatives to bankruptcy if you are willing to put out the time and energy. It could save you much unnecessary hassle.

Bankruptcy is a difficult decision to make so it is best if there is another solution out there for you.

Begin by calling your creditors. Most are willing to work with you if you explain to them your situation. Tell them you are considering bankruptcy.

In many cases, creditors are willing to work out a different payment plan with you. Don’t hide from them either. Be straightforward and open about your financial situation.

Before filing bankruptcy, take a good long hard look at your finances. Get organized and begin writing out a budget. Start with your monthly income and deduct your monthly household expenses.

Jetpack

Understand how you are spending your money and seek out where you can make cutbacks. Perhaps buying groceries in bulk, or cutting back on phone services or cable services. Limit spending in areas of luxury services. Every little thing helps.

Next you will want to take a look at your credit cards. You may be able to take the balance from one with a higher interest to a lower interest one. Then get rid of those high interest credit cards all together.

Stay away from paying off credit cards with credit cards. Other things you can try are; refinancing a car loan or a mortgage. Or perhaps you have some family members or friends who are willing to pitch in to help pay off high rate debts and avoid bankruptcy.

But remember, this is a loan so when you are in a better situation, do make sure to pay back those who were kind enough to help you out.

4 Things ALL Articles Must Have

The importance of articles in today’s websites and internet-based companies are immeasurable. They dictate a lot in the success and the drive of traffic into one’s site. It has become a key element in making a site work and earns a profit. A website operator and owner must have the good sense to include articles in his or her site that will work for them and earn them the many benefits articles can give to their site.

Articles have been known to be the driving force in driving traffic to a website. Articles are a factor in giving site high rankings in search result pages. The higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic flow pie he gets. With a huge number in traffic flow, there are more profits and more potential for other income-generating schemes as well.

But, it is not just about stuffing your site with articles; they have certain requirements as well. These requirements must be met to obtain the maximum benefits an article will provide for your site. A well-written article will catch the eyes and interest of your customers and keep them coming back for more. They would also be able to recommend your site to others.

Here are some tips to help you and assist you in making your articles. Below you will read about four things all articles must have to make it successful and helpful in making your site a profit earning and traffic overflowing site.

Keywords and Keyword Phrases.

An article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword phrases. As each website visitor goes to a site, some are just merely browsing but actually looking for something in specific. When this happens, a searcher usually goes to a search engine and types in the keywords they are looking for (e.g. Toyota Camry, Meningitis, Tax Lawyer and Etcetera). It could be anything they want.

The Important thing is that you have an article that has the keywords that are related to your site. For example, if you maintain an auto parts site, you must be able to have articles about cars and their parts. There are many tools on the internet that provides service in helping a webmaster out in determining what keywords and keyword phrases are mostly sought out. You can use this tool to determine what keywords to use and write about.

Keyword Density

Know that you have your keywords and keyword phrases, you must use them fully. An article must have good keyword density for a search engine to “feel” its presence. Articles should at least have ten to fifteen percent of keyword density in their content for search engines to rank a site high in their search results. Getting a high rank is what articles do best for a site.

Keyword density is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is used in an article. The number varies depending on the number of words used in an article. An effective article must have a keyword density that is not too high or too low. With a very high density, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines. It comes off as overeager. A low number may be ignored by the search engines.

Good Article Content

Like what is stated above, you cannot just riddle an article with keywords. They must also be regarded as good reading materials. Articles must be able to entertain people as well as provide good information and help for their needs. Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work good and well thought out.

People respond well to figures, facts, and statistics. Try to get great information and as many facts as you can. A good and well-written article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic. As more people believe in you. They will be able to trust you and your products.

Linking Articles

And another important thing to remember. If you are going to submit articles to ezines and/or contribute your articles to newsletters and other sites, DON’T ever forget to include a link to your site. A little resource box with a brief description of your site and you should always be placed right after your articles that you have submitted. If people like your articles, they will most likely click on the link directing them to your site.

Starting An Online Business: Jobs That Can Be Done Online

Within this article today, I am going to share with you a few companies you can partnered with and how to start an online business. We will look at what must be done to succeed online. This formula is very simple and one that people do not pay enough attention to. By explaining what to look for online, this will be a good way for you to learn how to start an online business.

EA Builder

When you are looking at how to start an online business, you will first want to look at a particular field that you are interested in. You will want to see whether or not there is a great deal of competition out there because this could affect your decision to get into that particular field. When you are deciding to start an online business, you usually want to look for a field in which there is less competition so that you can come in with cheap but cost effective marketing and dominate that niche.

It is often easier to be a big fish in a small pond rather than a small fish in a big pond. There are many different ways that you can make money on a website and in this article I will show you a couple of those different ways. You can decide to sell products online which you can find through wholesale distributors. You can advertise on your website and sell advertising using programs such as Google’s Adsense. You can even sell your products through storefronts at either Yahoo, eBay, or Amazon websites.

Another key when you are looking at how to start an online business is to make sure that you are continually testing and retesting your website. Once you design your website, you cannot sit back and wait for the sales to come in. You want to test and retest the different ways in which you have your pages and website built to make sure that you are taking advantage of the traffic coming into your website. If you do not do this, you are leaving money on the table.

The final key when looking at how to start an online business is how you decide to market your website. There are many companies which you can buy traffic from at a very cheap price and this can be a good way to supplement your natural search engine traffic. The way to build natural search engine traffic is through content and developing backlinks. Backlinks are links from other websites to yours so that when search engine search bots are indexing web pages, they will find the links to your web site and index your pages.

If you work on finding an underserved niche, it is easier to pay for traffic bought from Internet marketing firms as well as move your way up in the natural search engine pages. You want to make sure that you are developing both a good site and its contents of the people will want to read what they find and then continually return to your website. This is a simple formula in your search on how to start an online business.

If you have requests from 5 people per day for 100 emails by $0.40, that’s a cool $200.00 per day. This could be more because some persons will buy 100 solo ads (emails) and more every day. Just make sure it’s quality leads that can convert and know your audience. You don’t want to create a bad repetition for yourself on Udimi because people wouldn’t want to purchase your solo ads that aren’t giving them sign-ups for a product or sale.

Email Marketing: Combining Email Marketing with Other Types of Marketing

Whether you choose to do your marketing online or offline, one thing does not change. This is the concept that no single marketing strategy will be as effective as a combination of two or more marketing strategies. This does not mean it is necessary for you to implement every known marketing strategy to promote your business but rather it implies that it is worthwhile to market from a few different perspectives to help you achieve your business related goals. This article will examine the importance of combining email marketing with other types of marketing to create a successful; multi tiered marketing strategy and will also offer some advice on managing more than one marketing strategy at once.

DreamHost

As the old saying goes, “Two heads are better than one,” and this is certainly true when it comes to marketing. You may enjoy a great deal of success with email marketing but this does not mean you should not try other types of online marketing such as website creation, participation in industry related message boards, placing banner ads, orchestrating an affiliate marketing campaign and generating inbound links to your website. While it is possible that not all of these strategies will be effective for your business, you are likely to find at least one other option which complements your email marketing and helps you to achieve your business related goals.

Alternately you may even wish to combine your email marketing campaign with more traditional marketing strategies such as radio ads, television ads and the print media. Just because these types of advertising do not take place online, does not mean they will not be able to help you generate more business. In fact advertising both online and offline can allow you to reach a larger target audience. This is because you will likely reach Internet users around the world but can also reach potential customers who do not utilize the Internet for purchasing or researching products or services similar to the ones you offer.

DreamHost

Popular marketing strategies to combine with email marketing include banner ads and message board participation. These are all online activities and each one individually is fairly simple. However, in combination these simple activities can create a powerful statement. You may send out emails offering useful information about your products or services, purchase banner ad space on websites which may be of interest to your potential customers and participate in industry related message boards where you can earn the respect and pique the interest of potential customers. Even if your potential customers are not currently in need of the products and services you offer, seeing your business name so often can have a branding effect. Branding is essentially a process in which consumers see a company name so often that they are more likely to select a product from this company when they are in need of an item the company offers.

If you are planning to combine multiple forms of advertising, you should be aware that this can make it difficult for you to evaluate the effectiveness of each marketing strategy. This is especially true of the marketing strategies are implemented concurrently. When you are only using one type of marketing strategy, you can generally attribute increases in sales or website traffic to changes in the marketing strategy.

Web Hosting

However, when more than one type of marketing strategy is in effect, determining which strategy is producing the desired effect can be quite difficult. This situation can be handled by not making changes to more than one marketing strategy at a time. This will help to pinpoint which changes produce an increase in sales or website traffic. It can also help you to determine when changes to your marketing strategy have a detrimental effect on your sales and website traffic. However, if you are having difficulty determining which marketing strategy is most effective you can consider asking customers to answer survey questions and provide information such as how they learned about the products or services your business offers and what are their goals, immediate or future needs.

Alternative Energy for the Home

The trend toward homes that are powered by alternative energy sources, ranging from wind turbines and solar collection cells to hydrogen fuel cells and biomass gases, is one that needs to continue into the 21st century and beyond. We have great need of becoming more energy independent, and not having to rely on the supplying of fossil fuels from unstable nations who are often hostile to us and our interests. But even beyond this factor, we as individuals need to get “off the grid” and also stop having to be so reliant on government-lobbying giant oil corporations who, while they are not really involved in any covert conspiracy, nevertheless have a stranglehold on people when it comes to heating their homes (and if not through oil, then heat usually supplied by grid-driven electricity, another stranglehold).

As Remi Wilkinson, Senior Analyst with Carbon Free, puts it, “inevitably, the growth of distributed generation will lead to the restructuring of the retail electricity market and the generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure.” The power providers may have to diversify their business to make up for revenues lost through household energy microgeneration. She is referring to the conclusions by a group of UK analysts, herself included among them, who call themselves Carbon Free. Carbon Free has been studying the ever-growing trend toward alternative energy-using homes in England and the West. This trend is being driven by ever-more government recommendation and sometimes backing of alternative energy research and development, the rising cost of oil and other fossil fuels, concern about environmental degradation, and desires to be energy independent.

Carbon Free concludes that, assuming traditional energy prices remain at their current level or rise, microgeneration (meeting all of one’s home’s energy needs by installing alternative energy technology such as solar panels or wind turbines) will become to home energy supply what the Internet became to home communications and data gathering, and eventually this will have deep effects on the businesses of the existing energy supply companies.

Carbon Free’s analyses also show that energy companies themselves have jumped in on the game and seek to leverage microgeneration to their advantage for opening up new markets for themselves. Carbon Free cites the example of electricity companies (in the UK) reporting that they are seriously researching and developing ideas for new geothermal energy facilities, as these companies see geothermal energy production as a highly profitable wave of the future. Another conclusion of Carbon Free is that solar energy hot water heating technology is an efficient technology for reducing home water heating costs in the long run, although it is initially quite expensive to install.

However, solar power is not yet cost-effective for corporations, as they require too much in the way of specialized plumbing to implement solar energy hot water heating. Lastly, Carbon Free tells us that installing wind turbines is an efficient way of reducing home electricity costs, while also being more independent. However, again this is initially a very expensive thing to have installed, and companies would do well to begin slashing their prices on these devices or they could find themselves losing market share.

Some alternative sources

1. ROOFTOP SOLAR PANELS: This is probably the most common and obvious method if you’re looking into renewable power. Solar panels typically go on your roof, although you can also install them in your yard. Depending on your latitude and the orientation of the panels, you could generate 10 or more watts per square foot. A typical house consumes at least a kilowatt of power, so a few square feet of solar panels should be enough to power most or all of your needs.

If your current roof is nearing the end of its lifespan, you could also consider investing in solar shingles. Where standard rooftop solar panels are mounted on top of your current roof, solar shingles actually take the place of your roof tiles.

Of course, one big weakness of solar power is that it only works when the sun is up. If you want to power your home when the sun is down, you’ll need to pay for grid electricity or invest in a second type of renewable energy.

2. WIND TURBINES: Wind turbines are most commonly found in windfarms or floating offshore, but if you are someone who has enough real estates, installing a small wind turbine on your property to power your home would be a great move.

There are a few downsides to a wind turbine that make them less popular in residential areas. They can be ugly and make a lot of noise. They take up space, and depending on where you live, local laws and zoning regulations may outright forbid it.

But if these disadvantages don’t apply to you or don’t bother you, wind power may be a great asset. Wind power is more stable than solar, and a good-sized wind turbine can easily generate most or all of your electricity needs. Depending on your area, the wind might be a better renewable investment than solar.

3. SOLAR OVEN: Perhaps you’re not ready to power your entire home with renewable energy. That’s a big project, and maybe it’s just not feasible for all sorts of reasons. You can still power a part of your home with renewable energy by building a solar oven.

Solar ovens are typically a science fair project, but ovens use quite a bit of electricity. Using the sun to passively heat your food is a good way to get started in the world of renewable energy. Solar ovens work by trapping sunlight to heat food. You can buy a solar oven or build your own out of a few common materials.

Solar ovens have several advantages, in that they heat your food for free, and they work even during a power outage or emergency. You’ll never have to have a cold meal due to a lack of power.

4. HYDRO POWER:This won’t work for most people, but if your property contains a source of flowing water, you’re in luck. You can divert some or all of the stream or river to flow through a turbine and power your home.

There are several ways to go about doing this, but at its most basic, you’ll want to find the largest vertical distance the water will travel, and divert that water so it flows through a turbine in a controlled manner. Depending on the amount of water and vertical distance, you can produce a substantial amount of power this way. Setting up a Hydro Power generator is not easy, and you may need to have a professional install it for you. If you have some engineering knowledge, you could even build it yourself from scratch.

And the advantages of Hydro Power are immense. Unlike solar and wind, hydro is stable and continuous, which means you’ll always get the same input no matter what. You’ll never have to worry that your generator won’t be able to power your home. That piece of mind might be worth a little engineering project.

5. SOLO WATER HEATING: Solar power doesn’t just have to generate electricity. You can also use the power of the sun to heat your home.

Solar water heaters use the sun to heat a reserve of water, which can then be pumped through your radiators or out your faucets or showerheads. This system is much cheaper than using gas or electricity to heat your water and is easier to install than solar panels. If you’re not willing to completely commit to powering your entire home with renewable energy, solar water heating can be a good alternative.

There are many different types of solar water heaters, each with their own advantages and disadvantages, so be sure to select the type of system that works best for you.

6. SOLAR AIR CONDITIONING:This might seem strange to use heat from the sun to cool your home, but that’s exactly what solar air conditioning does. Solar air conditioning uses the same principles of the solar water heater but uses that hot water in an air conditioning system.

Air conditioning uses more electricity than almost anything else in your home. Air conditioning can cost you a substantial amount of money every year, especially if you have central air and you live in a hot climate. Using hot water to cool your home can save you money and help the environment.

As a bonus, the hot water produced for air conditioning can also be used for other applications in your home. Depending on your setup, you can get the benefits of solar water heating with bonus air conditioning as well.

7. HYBRID: If off-grid living is your ideal scenario, many renewable energy experts recommend a hybrid system of wind and solar energy. Hybrid systems feature both wind turbines and solar panels to double up on the generative power. These systems are the most efficient and reliable, as wind and solar energy tend to be most available at different times.

Depending on the location, wind speeds tend to be lower in the summer when the sun shines brightest and longest, and they’re higher in the winter when less sunlight is available. Because peak generation for wind and solar systems often occurs at different times, a hybrid system is more likely to consistently produce the energy your home needs.

8. Geothermal: Geothermal energy is derived from the heat below the earth’s surface. This clean energy source supplies renewable power around the clock and emits little to no greenhouse gases—all while requiring a small environmental footprint to develop.

Stop Being Held Hostage By Electric Company and Discover How You Can Build Your Own Solar & Wind Power System.

Geothermal heat pumps use 25 percent to 50 percent less electricity than conventional HVAC systems, and they can be retrofitted onto existing systems. Plus, because the hardware requires less space than a typical HVAC system, equipment rooms can be smaller. And the components often come with warranties lasting twenty years or longer.

Moreover, a geothermal heat pump doesn’t have a condensing unit like an air conditioner, so noise outside the home isn’t a factor. The system sometimes is so quiet that residents can’t even tell it’s running. It’s also adept at keeping a home comfortable, as a unit maintains about 50 percent relative indoor humidity.

9. Microhydropower: For those who have flowing water on their property, the affordability and major returns from a micro-hydro generator make it a total no-brainer. Even a small stream can generate consistent, clean, dam-free, renewable electricity at a price lower than solar or wind.

A Microhydropower system needs a waterwheel, turbine, or pump to convert the power of water into electricity. First, water is diverted to a water conveyance—usually a pipeline—that delivers it to a waterwheel (or another similar component). The moving water rotates the wheel, and this motion powers the alternator or generator to create electricity. The system can be on- or off-grid and should be able to power a typical large house.

10. Solar Shingles: If you like, you can say goodbye to giant, cumbersome solar panels. Photovoltaic roof tiles, or “solar shingles,” have become a great option for homeowners looking to lower their electric bills without sacrificing the aesthetic value of their homes.

These shingles are much easier to install than traditional bolt-on solar panels, and they’re certainly more pleasing to the eye. Solar shingles blend with conventional shingles almost seamlessly, and they do their part to protect the roof from the elements. As a matter of fact, Tesla says its solar shingles are three times stronger than traditional shingles, and the company guarantees them for the lifetime of your house.

Solar shingles cost roughly a third more than the average solar panel installation, but there are tax incentives to help offset the price. A similar, less expensive option could be to install solar skylights. These are see-through solar panels that have the appearance of traditional skylights but generate some energy for your home

Increase Blog Traffic

It doesn’t really matter if your blog is a personal blog that you do just for fun, or if you’re a serious online marketer who uses their blog to make money, everyone wants to know how to increase blog traffic. That seems to be the universal question.

The good news is that just by using a blog format for your website you’ve already done a lot to get more targeted traffic to your blog. The search engines love fresh content and since blogs are updated far more frequently than a static site would be, the search engines view that as a content-driven site and will rank it higher.

There are many other things you can do, for free, to increase the amount of traffic you get to your blog. And remember, it’s not just about any traffic, it’s about getting quality traffic, traffic that consists of people who are interested in the topic of your blog.

Here are a few of the simplest and most effective free things you can do to keep the flow of quality traffic to your blog going strong:

  1. Post often. The more often you post, the more often your blog will get crawled by the search engines and you will be rewarded with a higher page rank and more free traffic. One word of warning though, as with vitamins, don’t fall into thinking that if one is good 15 must be better. If you post too many times in a day, the search engines will think that you are not building your site in a ‘natural’ way and they will penalize you for it.

Gator Website Builder

A very effective rule of thumb is to post one post every single day for 21 days, I don’t know why, but that 21 seems to be the magic number. After the first 21 days you can slow down to several posts a week if you want, or you can continue with one a day, it’s up to you.

  1. Write articles that will direct people to visit your blog. You can use the free Google keyword tool to target the types of keyword phrases people are using to find your blog, then write quality articles around that keyword, then you can submit your article for free to article directories such as EzineArticles.com.
  2. Learn a little about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and start using those techniques on your blog. This will make your site stand out to the search engines. Don’t worry about knowing everything there is to know about SEO, just a few basic concepts can make a huge difference.
  3. Visit other blogs and leave a comment with a link back to your blog. This will not only show people that you are an expert in your field, but they will also be interested in checking out your blog and more about what you have to say, assuming of course that you leave insightful, interesting comments.

These methods are the easiest methods that will help you increase blog traffic, that you will find. Don’t waste a ton of money on expensive pay per click campaigns when you can have even better results just by investing a little time.

5 Easy Mistakes Article Marketers Make

Being one of the many successful article marketers is something that can come easily. There are, however, things that you need to avoid that will keep you from being among the many more who used to be article marketers and are now struggling to make money. Done correctly, article marketing can see huge positive results in a very cost effective way. Article marketing done poorly can be a huge waste of time, energy, and even money.

First mistake

Making a boring title. Realize that the title of the article is going to be mixed in with quite a few others that your potential reader has to choose from. There are many of you competing for the same set of eyes. Don’t let your title be something that will blend in with all the rest. Make is something that will stand out and get noticed. Make sure that you don’t get too crazy and make sure that it is relevant to the topic you want to address, but, still be creative and you will stay competitive with other article marketers. I speak from my own experience as it was a challenge for me too and form many others.

Second mistake

Not having a clear purpose. What is the main reason you want the reader to read your article? Is there a goal that you have in mind? Be clear as to what you want them to do and give them plenty of reason to want to take the action you want them to take. Have a starting point and and ending point in planning your article and use everything in between to help them get from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’. This is something that article marketers fail to do all too often.

Third mistake

Not knowing your target audience. Article marketers need to keep in mind who your target audience is and write to their level. If you are writing to a group of people who are typically very knowledgeable about the subject matter, then you better make sure that you are as well. Find out what they ask when they go online to search for this information and find how to relate to them. Study your target market and write to them.

Fourth mistake

Writing articles that won’t get published. Look at the standards that article directories have and write your articles to fit the most strict of standards. Make sure that you have the minimum number of preferred words. Make sure that it is well written. Make sure that it doesn’t have any problems with links within your article and that you link to appropriate places. Article marketers will often forget to check the article they are trying to submit and see if it is in compliance only to have it rejected.

Fifth mistake

No call to action. As article marketers you have to remember that your goal is not just to inform, but to invite the reader to go to your website or to take what ever action you want them to take. Just as it is incredibly important to ask for the sale, it is important to ask them to click on the link that you provide.

If you, as article marketers, can avoid these simple mistakes you will find yourself on the fast track to success.

Benchmark: Email/Online Marketing Tools

Benchmark Email helps businesses of any size by offering them a robust set of integrated and automated tools with the purpose of growing their audience, engagement, and sales. Their platform is a complete and easy-to-use email marketing solution that clients can use to create and send out compelling campaigns. The company, founded in 2004, has always had a very clear mission: simple email marketing. Leaving the super tech solutions to competitors, it focused on supplying its clientele with “approachable software for the community made by the community”.

Now a global leader in the email marketing field, Benchmark stayed true to its roots by always honoring the user experience factor as the key concept of their service. The first thing we notice that supports that claim, is the fact that Benchmark tells potential customers they can use the free account option as they please and only need to upgrade when the free option doesn’t offer sufficient options. The second remarkable thing is that paying customers do not have to make a difficult choice from several packages containing more or fewer product features: once you purchase, you get the full package with all available features. Frustrations about missing that one crucial feature in your package that you really needed are non-existent when using Benchmark Email.

CRM

Contact Management happens in the Contacts tab. This section is used for creating or editing lists and specific segments, and for the production of signup forms. You can create lists in several different ways, for example by file upload, copy/paste and by syncing with other sources, which is an interesting option because it will keep a list up-to-date across different apps in real-time. Benchmark also offers a comprehensive toolset for CRM purposes, but it exceeds the boundaries of the Benchmark Email platform as it focuses much more on sales.

Benchmark CRM

To sum up the CRM related options in the Benchmark Email platform:

  • Create and manage lists
  • Create signup forms
  • View and edit lists
  • Import new contacts
  • Search for contacts
  • Add new contacts
  • Create segments
  • Export lists
  • Use Webhooks notifications to sync lists

The free account does include the aptly labeled “Lite Automation” feature, which can be used for automated contact list purposes, like sending welcome emails to new subscribers, or birthday/ anniversary/ reminder emails based on specific dates. Paid plans come with Pro Automation, which offers extensive additional automation options for “Email Engagement”, including sending an unlimited number of emails, tracking options, A/B testing, and more. Emails will also no longer show the Benchmark logo.

Benchmark Email API

The free Benchmark Email API allows you to integrate your database programs with Benchmark’s system. Very useful if you want to keep your Benchmark Email contact lists up-to-date with new registrations on your website. It serves more than just list syncing purposes:

  • Create/ manage contact lists. Export existing contacts to your system.
  • Create, copy and update email campaigns and schedule/ send test emails. You can do this from your Benchmark account, but since the API integrates your database with Benchmark’s system, you can also do this from your own system, without having to log in to your Benchmark account.
  • Generate reports of previous email campaigns (opens, bounces, forwards).

List Management

In the Contacts tab, located in the main menu, all manual list management (meaning actions that are not the result of automation) takes place. You can create new lists, edit existing ones, import contacts from a file or from a service like Google Contacts or Zoho, add contacts manually or by copy/paste. You can also add filters to divide lists into smaller, easier to target segments. It is also possible to export existing lists.

Benchmark List Management

Import/ Export

Importing existing contacts can be done by means of a simple file upload. The more advanced option is to take your contacts from another platform and use the “third party integration” option to add your contacts from a different platform to your Benchmark Email contacts. Benchmark offers this type of integration with an abundance of platforms, more than 300 in total, including Facebook, Google, Shopify, Slack, Flickr, Zapier, and Paypal.

Growing your List

The aforementioned integration options can also be used to expand lists. By adding a signup option to platforms that you are able to integrate through the third party integration option offered, you can rapidly grow the number of signups. Social media platforms are the most obvious option, but eBay, Shopify, and Paypal are equally good options that can result in a rapid expansion of your signup rate.

Make sure to check if the app or apps you want to integrate with your Benchmark Email account are free to use for that purpose, or if a fee is involved.

Segmentation/ Targeting

To be able to fully benefit from your email lists, the option to segment on a deeper, more detailed level is essential. You want to be able to target exactly those people you wrote your email message for. Benchmark Email offers the necessary options for thorough segmentation. It is very easy to add new segments and to set the criteria for those segments, using a standardized list of criteria to choose from – and the option to add more criteria.

How to Build an Email Campaign

Email Templates

Benchmark Email offers a nice library of email templates users can choose from. More than 150 templates, organized in subcategories (type, industry, calendar holiday, integrations, international, other) for easy filtering, are available. Choosing from the available templates is one of the steps in the process of creating an email, which we’ll describe in the ‘Sending a Newsletter’ section.

Benchmark Email Templates

Using the Drag & Drop Editor

The Drag & Drop editor, if you choose the option, is part of the process of creating an email. It is actually part of the third step in that particular process, which is the designing phase. Before you can start working with the editor, you first have to choose a layout, either by selecting an existing template, a basic layout, or an email you created in the past and want to re-use and adjust. The Drag & Drop editor can be used to customize existing templates available in the template library or to ‘fill’ one of eight existing ‘blank layouts’. In both scenarios, the drag & drop works the same. And it works very well! The dragging and dropping of elements in the email happens in a very accurate way and responds well to mouse movements. Deleting elements or moving them to a different position is also very easy.

Benchmark editor

The editor comes with a set of standardized add-on elements called ‘blocks’ that you can drag & drop in your email. There are many options, including video (YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia), images, dividers, social media sharing options, and more.

The options for the insertion of images are worth mentioning: you can upload images, which will automatically be stored in your image library, but you can also insert an image from a URL, use Flickr, or use images from several royalty-free stock photo sites that Benchmark listed for you to use, which is a nice addition.

You can also change the basic look & feel of the email, like the color settings of all the separate elements in the email setup (e.g. left column header, right column body text background, footer, etc.) – this happens in the ‘Global Styles’ tab.

In short: a very reliable, easy-to-use editor with a nice variety of options.

Sending a Newsletter

Sending an email – for example, a newsletter – in Benchmark Email is a very streamlined process, divided into several logical steps. To start the process, you enter the dashboard and select the ‘Email’ option in the main menu on the left. To create a new campaign, you click the ‘Create new email’ button on the right.

You choose the type of email you want to create. For campaign purposes, use the ‘regular email’ option and click ‘Next’. Straight after, you choose the way you want to build your newsletter: with the drag & drop editor, the code editor, or the plain text editor.

Now that you made the necessary choices upfront, you’re entering ‘Step 1’ of the process. In this step you’re filling in the details of the campaign, which include the email name (not for display, but for archiving purposes), email details (subject line, preview text (optional), from name, from email address, reply email address), content options, tracking options (Google Analytics), and sharing options. After you filled in the necessary info, click ‘Save & Next’ at the bottom.

Step 2 is where you decide who will receive this email. You can select a list or a specific segment. You can exclude lists and segments as well, by activating the ‘Enable List Exclusion’ option. After you entered the desired settings, click ‘Save & Next’.

Step 3 is where you design your email. To begin with, you choose a layout. You choose from a series of blank layouts, or a large variety of existing templates (150+) that can be narrowed down using filtering options.

Benchmark Email

After performing your magic with the drag & drop editor and finishing designing your newsletter, you move to step 4 of the process, which involves checking your work and sending the newsletter. You check all of the previous steps and preview your newsletter and if everything is ok, you can schedule the email to be sent. You can send immediately, or choose a specific sending date and hour.

Mobile Editor

Since Benchmark Email’s templates are responsive and therefore adjust automatically to mobile devices, there is no need for a separate mobile editor to make emails mobile compatible.

Automation/Workflow

To access the automation options, choose ‘Automations’ in the left side menu of your dashboard. After that, you can choose the automation version that is part of your account. The free account option comes with the ‘Automation Lite’, but we want to get a good idea of the options that are part of the ‘Automation Pro’, which a paid plan will give access to. The smart thing about the free plan that Benchmark Email offers potential customers, is that it lets you explore all options, also the ones that are part of the paid plans – you just can’t activate those features after you went through all the settings. So, we were able to explore the Automation Pro features, which consists of Contact List Automations and Email Engagement Automations (the latter not being part of the Free plan).

Setting up automations in Benchmark Email is very simple, and it is also very well and thoroughly explained in available tutorials. First, you choose the type of automation you want to create. You click the ‘New Automation’ button in the upper right corner and choose the type of automation you want to create from the list of options.

Benchmark Automation

Depending on your choice, your automation already has a trigger. We’re choosing to build an automation flow from scratch, so our first step is setting a trigger and setting the specs for it.

After you set the trigger details, you go straight to the canvas that is used for outlining the automation process. Nothing much is there, just the trigger and the empty next step. Click ‘create a step’ and choose the desired ‘Action’ or ‘Condition’.

You can reuse an existing email, or create a new one. We’re choosing to create a new one.

Benchmark Automation

Now, you can set the basic specs for the email: name, subject, etc. After you click ‘Save’, you have to choose the editor that you want to use for creating the email. Make your choice and click ‘Next’.

Benchmark Automation

You have to decide when the email will be sent. How long after the triggered action? Fill in the desired delay and click ‘Save’. Now, we’re back on the canvas, that shows the automation flow so far. It’s still very basic, so we’re adding another step because we want to create actions for the people who opened and/ or clicked our initial email.

This pretty much shows how to set up an automation sequence, which is a very easy, step-by-step process. You have tutorials to guide you in case you need assistance. Obviously, things can get much more complicated once you start building extensive sequences, but the principle, which is based on setting triggers and related conditions/ actions, is always the same.

Tracking & Optimization Tools

The tracking options Benchmark Email supplies its users with are in line with the product features. First of all, Benchmark Email suggests installing a global tracking code on your website before starting off with automation. This is a tracking code much like the Google Analytics tracking code, and it is supposed to be inserted in your website. Using this tracking code is not a necessity for other tracking options offered.

Email tracking

Tracking your emails is of vital importance, and the reports supplied by Benchmark Email give good insight into the performance of your campaigns. The following numbers are reported:

  • opened emails
  • bounced emails
  • unopened emails
  • links clicked
  • unsubscribes
  • forwarded emails
Benchmark Tracking

On top of that, you can also track customers in real-time and monitor activity on social media (shares & likes) so to tailor future campaigns on those users that are inclined to share or like on social media.

Benchmark Tracking

Geotracking is used to inform you where in the world your emails are opened. Combined with timezone based segmentation, you can optimize campaigns by adjusting the delivery time to the specific timezone of the segment.

A/B Testing

To test effectivity of email campaigns, an A/B testing option is very useful. This option is available in Benchmark Email’s paid plans. Test and compare subject lines, email designs and delivery times for the optimal settings for your campaigns.

Inbox Checker

The Inbox checker is a nifty feature to check how your emails show up in a wide variety of web-based email clients, both for Windows and Mac. The Inbox Checker’s options extend to display on mobile devices. A useful insight to further optimize your campaigns.

Apps/ Integrations

Benchmark Email emphasizes the fact that the platform offers integrations with more than 300 apps. Dedicated apps for WordPress sites, Facebook and Shopify are available, and it is possible to integrate a wide range of apps with your Benchmark Email account. Moreover, the Benchmark Email API allows you to integrate database programs you use with your Benchmark Email account, a very convenient option to keep mailing lists up-to-date across different platforms.

Additional Marketing Services Offered

Benchmark Email offers an extensive set of product features, but there are a few extras still that we didn’t cover yet. A nice addition, especially from a customer satisfaction point of view, is available in the form of a special surveys and polls section. This feature comes with several survey templates, such as the ‘services provided’, ‘event participation’, and ‘company satisfaction’ surveys, a.o. The surveys come with a dedicated report section as well, so you can really benefit from using surveys to get to know your customers and the way they feel about your survey and products.

Benchmark Marketing Services

It’s easy to set up surveys. You can use several types of questions and answer categories, and it is very easy to add questions to the existing formats available, to make sure your surveys contain all the questions you want your customers to answer.

The poll option serves a different purpose – it is more to get a basic idea of the sentiment of your customers about one specific subject. This ‘testing the waters’ idea is a nice option to include in newsletters, for example. A recommended option for increasing engagement, it is a useful addition to the list of Benchmark Email features. Poll results are also automatically reported and included in the Reports section.

Support

Support channels offered by Benchmark Email are easy to reach and all options are listed on one page, with immediate access to all support channels available. FAQs, videos (including tutorials), and webinars are available, and customers can chat with the helpdesk at any time. Phone numbers for a list of countries are available, and you have the option to submit a ticket for email support as well.

Benchmark Support

Packages/Pricing

Benchmark Email offers just two packages. The first option, the paid account package, offers the same features for all paying customers with the price per month solely depending on the number of subscribers you are catering to. Plans start at $13.99 per month for up to 600 subscribers and run all the way up to $29,200 per month for up to 7,140,000 subscribers. Any paid plan for a number of subscribers of up to 50,000 has the option to send out unlimited emails. For larger plans, starting at 55,000 subscribers, a designated number of sends is available, ranging from 770,000 emails for 55,000 subscribers to 100,000,000 for companies with more than 7 million subscribers.

Benchmark Pricing

The free account package is great for testing purposes but lacks several important product features that are included in the paid plan, so even for a small company that sends out fewer emails per month than the free account offers, it pays off to go for the paid variant.

The list of available features is long. The following features are included in both the free plan and the paid plan:

  • Drag & Drop Editor
  • Automation Lite
  • Responsive Templates
  • Signup Forms
  • Google Analytics Tracking
  • List Management & Segments
  • Reports (Live Engagement, Opens by Hour, Click Heatmap, Opens by Device)
  • Surveys & Polls
  • Unlimited Video Storage
  • 10 MB of Free Image Gallery Storage
  • Integrations (Social Media, eCommerce, Email Templates, Contact List)

Some Benchmark Email features are exclusively available to paying customers, like the advanced automation options. Check the list below:

  • Automation Pro (Behavior-based Email Follow-up, Behavior-based List Management, Website Engagement Automation)
  • Automated Customer Journey Templates
  • Cart Abandonment Automation
  • A/B Testing
  • Targeted Emailing

At an additional price, Benchmark Email offers several extra features, add-ons as they call it. List verification, image hosting (unlimited storage), a dedicated IP, and credits for Inbox checkers are optionally available. As far as payment options go, the setup is simple. Benchmark Email accepts payments by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and Amex). Additionally, for customers outside the US, payment by PayPal is possible.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Automation options are extensive and intuitive
  • Drag & Drop editor is very efficient and easy to use
  • Reports section with automatic reports per feature, including comparing options
  • Extensive integration options

Cons

  • No Salesforce integration option
  • A limited number of available languages
  • No paid account package levels based on product features – one package only, containing all features.

Bottom Line

Benchmark Email offers a very solid product that leaves little room for improvement. Options are extensive and seem to largely be based on user experience, which is a very sensible starting point for any service provider. Support options are good and easy to find. Pricing is based on the number of subscribers and/ or emails, meaning there’s no breakdown of plans based on features. Every paying customer gets access to all features, which makes Benchmark Email a little bit more expensive than most of its competitors. On the other hand, it makes things very clear, you don’t have to choose between packages containing only part of the features – you simply get everything.
Benchmark Email offers a very solid product with many features and an excellent level of usability. Visit Site

WORK FROM HOME DATA ENTRY JOBS

Data entry jobs are frequently the bait in work-at-home scams, so check out all data entry opportunities carefully. Know how to recognize a data entry scam, and do not pay for kits or software. Remember that data entry doesn’t pay a lot, so be wary of any jobs promising a hefty payday.

These legitimate companies offer various types of data entry jobs that you can do from home. These are different from transcription jobs, another form of data entry or medical coding. Most transcription jobs usually require a higher skill level than the typical data entry job. The transcription jobs listed on this page are entry level. Likewise, medical coding jobs require more education and experience than the data entry jobs listed here.

Some also offer office-based data entry work as well as data entry jobs from home. A few also have call center jobs. Most hire independent contractors for data entry. However, not all are necessarily hiring at this time.

AccuTran Global
While most of the jobs this company has are transcription jobs, not typical data entry work, it may hire people who score well on its application assessments. Pays per word. Hires in the U.S., U.K., and Canada.

Axion Data Services
This company accepts applications when it has jobs available, which isn’t very often. Data entry jobs at this company pay independent contractors on a per-piece basis.

Amazon’s Mechanical Turk
While the crowdsourcing division of the online retail company does not have traditional data entry jobs, it is worth mentioning because this online exchange for small tasks can be very similar to data entry work. It can be time-consuming work that doesn’t pay well, however, despite being a division of Amazon.

Capital Typing
Outsourcing company based in South Carolina provides virtual office services. In addition to its transcription and data entry jobs from home, it offers online customer support, translation, and secretarial services.

Birch Creek Communications
Though this company mostly hires legal and general transcriptionists, it does sometimes have more basic data entry jobs available.

Clickworker
Worldwide crowdsourcing company hires independent contractors for data entry as well as writing, translating and researching. Work is done in very short tasks, making this a micro job. Pays on a per-piece basis. Registration and assessment are necessary before “click workers” can begin accepting tasks for payments.

DataPlus +
Data entry and document scanning company, based in Georgia, hire independent contractors for online data entry work from home.

DionData Solutions
Hires typists with a minimum of 60 wpm and basic computer skills for data entry jobs from home. No application fees.

GorgeWarehouse.com
The company offers telecommuting as a perk for data entry workers who post to websites and internal database and do proofreading. Must type 30 words per minute. Pays $10.50/hr. When positions are available, they are posted on its website.

Quicktate or iDictate
The company provides a transcription of voicemails and other audio content by hiring work-at-home transcribers. Paid a per word rate of 1 cent per 4 words (Quicktate) or 1 cent per 2 words (iDictate). Expect to earn about $5-7/hr at 50 wpm. The successful Quicktate transcriptionist may receive work from iDictate, which transcribes a wider range of documents.

Scribie
Freelance transcriptionists choose audio files to transcribe at $10 per audio hour. Files are 6 minutes or less. Opportunity for advancement to a reviewer.

SigTrack
Online crowdsourcing opportunity has freelancers processing voter registrations and petition signatures. Payment is on a per-piece basis adjusted for accuracy and made through PayPal.

Working Solutions
The company hires independent contractors for both call center and data entry jobs in the U.S. and worldwide. However, U.S. applicants are targeted for the call center jobs.
